Posted 7/14/07 1:46:00AM You gotta give credit where it is needed. Jujiden started this all off, with a great thread. I wanted to poll it, and talk about it. I think it's fair to say this would be the gold medal match. As much as well all want this to happen, the biggest hurdle would be an organization like the UFC, and Rage of the Cage. This is not Olympic Baseball or Soccer, this is fighting. Guys can get hurt. I think it can be worked out. And I think it can happen in the next upcoming years, of course upcoming every year is upcoming , I mean by 2010. USA roster Heavyweights Cotoure Vera Lightheavyweights Rampage Liddell Middleweights Henderson Franklin Welterweights Hughes Koscheck Lightweights Penn Sherk Brazil roster Heavweights Big Nog Gonzaga Lightheavyweights Shogun Wandy Middleweights Silva Filho Weltereights Alves Desouza Lightweights Ribeiro Tavares Randy beats Nog Shogun beats Rampage Henderson beats Silva(this is a tossup if there ever was one I swear) Matt beats Alves Penn beats Ribeiro I think USA wins 3-2 or 4-1. Definately in the lower weight classes USA takes it. This really should happen. Let's make a wish. ![]()

Posted 7/12/07 9:54:00PM i think brazil would win 3-2, big nog would beat randy, nog has better stand up, and is a ju jitsu wizzard, and can probably defend most of randys takedowns, and take randy down..... |

Posted 7/14/07 1:46:00AM The swing matchup here seems to be Big Nog vs. Randy. Many of you think Big Nog takes it I think Randy. Look I know Big Nog will show better than he did against Herring, and everything won't go as easy for Randy as in the Tim fight. It just seems Randy has actually gotten a little better. I dont' think Big Nog will stuff his takedowns, I think it will be a great fight. What it comes down to, the Heavyweight and Middleweight fights are tossups, cause the others I think are clear. |

Posted 5/27/07 4:09:00PM Brazil 3-2. Big nog doesn't have to stuff his takedowns, randy should want to stand with nog. randy woulden't be able to tko nog, you can't cut nog, and randy would more then likely get submitted. I do think the MW is a toss up, but I think anderson has the edge. LHW I pick brazil in both matchups. WW and LW are both USA. |

Posted 7/14/07 1:46:00AM If we where to do it on a 10 fight score system. Randy over Nog Shogun over Rampage Henderson over Silva Matt over Alves Penn over Ribeiro Vera over Gonzaga Liddell over Wandy Filho over Franklin Koschek over Desouza Tavares over Sherk USA wins 7-3. These are some incredible fights. |

I want the usa to win as much as the next guy but to say vera over gonzaga is a bit much. Liddell over wandy is pushing it and hendo over silva is a toss up as well as Randy over Nog. It would be fun to watch. I Think Filho would have his hands full with Franklin. |

Posted 7/14/07 1:46:00AM How can you say Liddell over Wandy is pushing it. Are you kidding me? Stlyes make fights, both of these guys are great, hall of famers, and still have a lot left. I am taking Liddell, cause Wandy comes forward a lot, and Liddell is a counterpuncher, and surely after they Rampage fight, he will be more Liddell than ever, I'm not saying Wandy can't win, but it's a really really bad matchup for him. Hendo Silva is a tossup, really Vera and Gonzaga is more guessing. Once we see Gonzaga next week, and Vera comes back we'll have a better idea. |

Posted 5/27/07 4:09:00PM I dunno I think wand and chuck is a better match up for wand. Chuck does much better against ground and pounders and submission guys, wand has more ways to beat you then page, and he's just as tough. I think silva has the edge on hendo simply beacuase his clinch is sick and he's so accurate, every punch counts. |

Posted 6/26/07 8:31:00PM The only problem with this is that we are looking at as if it were going to happen today or even this year (meaning those fighters would be in the condition they are in right now). I mean c'mon Randy is 73 yrs old now. If those fighters fight today it may go one way but in 2-3yrs there could be another outcome, BUT still fun to think about. I think it would be very competitive and a lot of countries have a lot of talented fighters. We can dream. |

Posted 6/22/07 11:35:00AM I think USA wins 3-2. Randy hasn't been submitted since 2001 and I agree that he has only gotten better as he has gotten older. Also there is no way Nog stuffs his take downs. |
