LAS VEGAS – A training injury has forced Tarec Saffiedine (15-3 MMA, 1-1 UFC) to bow out of next month’s UFC 172 event in Baltimore. With his intended opponent scrapped, Jake Ellenberger (29-7 MMA, 8-3 UFC) will now shift to May’s UFC 173 fight card, where he’ll meet fellow welterweight Robbie Lawler (22-10, 7-4).

I knee the ufc would add another big fight to this card
Can't complain about it

Feel bad that ufc 172 only has 10 fights
But I bet they move one of the fox Orlando fights to Baltimore

Sick fight! I have a feeling this one is gonna be fireworks! I was really excited for Tarec/Ellenberger but if it means this fight happening I can certainly get over it

And now it is worth the loot again...good work Joe Silva.

This went from an underwhelming card to one extremely entertaining one. I'm so fricken pumped!

WAR LAWLER! His reinvention has made me a fan, when I wasn't a big one before, great fighter, not taking anything away. Just love the kid's demeanor and will power. I feel like Ellenberger has been getting the shaft lately, maybe this will be redeeming for him if he wins, beating the guy that just fought the champ..hard to not argue for a title shot after that. Either way, GREAT FIGHT!

Oh hell yeah, this card is looking pretty fucking stacked all of the sudden... Top to bottom good matches, and a name I am familiar with in every fight. As for Lawler-Ellenberger, that's just a guaranteed slobberknocker! Very similar matchup to Lawler-Hendricks. Both solid wrestlers, both explosive, technical strikers. Sickness

Amazing scrap

Glad Lawler stepped up to replace the injured Saffiedine.

I'll definitely be rooting for Ruthless Robbie

I like Tarec, but this is a way better fight.
