grappler0000 » Posted 3/24/07 5:29:00PM

UFC welterweight Rory MacDonald could be on a collision course with fellow Tri Star training partner and UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, but MacDonald doesn’t want to talk about it.

MacDonald (14-1) is ranked third on the UFC’s official 170-pound rankings behind Johny Hendricks and Carlos Condit. (St-Pierre is the titleholder and holds the rank of champion and isn’t included in the top ten UFC rankings.)...

Hurr durr, good one Dana!
"We're not fighting"
It's like he refuses to acknowledge the world around him...or refuses to type a few key words into google.

Even if he hasn't (which he has) Rory has been out for a while an needs a few wins before he is talked about in title contention again.

Rory is like Jon Jones, he wants the glory for himself not his "team" In my opinion. He will train with GSP until the time comes than he will fight him.

I like Condit but he sure is ranked high for having 2 straight losses

I could write a dissertation on their experience: "The Tragic Interplay of Delusion, Insecurity, and Incompetence: The George and Rory Story."

lol...that was just in May of 2013 too.

Both Dana and Rory should cross that bridge when they come to it. I take a middle-of-the-road approach. Dana shouldn't think it's a no-brainer, and fighters who are likely to be in that position should work out an arrangement where they can fight and still remain pals. Maybe they have to separate camps or one has to start training elsewhere, but they should at least be trying to work it out. Dana should help, not demand.

They should make a BFF card. Rory v GSP, DC v Cain, Edgar v Alvarez, Nate v Gil, Nick v Shields, Hendo v Chael and the ultimate matchup Shogun v Wand. There are a lot of good buddies that matchup well, that Dana thinks would fight each other but never will.

Sure he "said" he would never fight gsp buttttt ill tell you what he's answered this question very suspiciously about 75% of the time this comes up since he was 20. He always says they will work an agreement up or something but then he QUICKLY fires RIGHT back with a comment about how his only goal is to be champ & this is all business. He was never as stern or direct as Jones was when this topic came up about Evans (& I respect Rory more because Jones more then clossed the possibility of him vs Evans stating how they are brother's but balks at his own claims first chance at the belt. It looks phonie on his part) Rory kinda keeps the possibility open of fighting gsp I just think he's waiting till he's the clear cut contender to change his tune. Rory is a cold dude, he will beat the shit out of Mike Ricci for a shinny belt

i dont think he wants tristar to have to worry about this situation. For his own sake.
