Good luck to him, he had a fun run and was in some entertaining matches.

I wonder if Dana will put him in the Dana Whi... I mean UFC HOF?

This news takes me by surprise I feel like Brian Stann still has so many great fights left in him. Here is to hoping he changes his mind

I always hate seeing dudes go out on a loss

True, but at least he went out with a better loss then some guys look winning a fight. He went out on his shield against one of MMA's GOATs in a fight of the year candidate. Never played it safe or anything. I give him the props for that.

such a fun fighter to watch,he'll be well missed,i hope the best for him

Great human being. Good fighter. He'll do fine.

He has a gig as an ACC college football analyst next season with FOX. I get the impression FOX is willing to pay him more then the UFC would be to fight MMA so this should be a solid transition for him.

I think the laws of sarcasm dictate that he is without a doubt UFC HOF material. Probably not Bonnar or Mask level HOF but easily better then guys like Randy or Hughes.

Disappointing, he didn't really seem as though he lost his edge but better to go this way than a multifight-multiko losing streak. Respect

Great guy, solid fighter. The Wanderlei loss was surprising, and I felt unusually bad for Stann when it happened. I'll always remember his wars with Cantwell, along with the big Ws over Santiago and Leben.

Glad to see he's out with his health intact, and that he's got some prospects. Say what you will about the war (or war in general), his program to help wounded vets transition to civilian life is ahead of its time.

I'm surprised he is done. His last fight was great at least.
