Celebration degrading to women   [View Full Version]
tattflash » Posted 3/1/07 9:10:00AM

A celebration by an American female Football player has caused controversy in the sport.
Whilst I think the celebration is very degrading to her opponent, I have absolutely no objection to how they dress to play the sport

Sign up to play in a game and organization like that and you have no leg to stand on.

This is as much of a sport as beach volleyball, all things considered.

Does that mean it will be replacing Wrestling at the Olympics?

The author's implication that this event promotes sexual exploitation of women, in the form of rape in particular, is patently absurd. Women have been shakin' their thangs since the beginning of time, sometimes, admittedly, in a manner that is not flattering to their fellow ladies, but I don't think this is one of those instances. This isn't regulation football, and I doubt it's trying to be that as long as skimpy outfits are involved. This isn't pure sport, it's entertainment for the fans, as I'm sure it is for the players as well. Until one of these ladies comes out and confesses that they are subject to emotional trauma, I have a a hard time understanding how anyone can say that this is a bad thing.

Shows you exactly what the author thinks about when he watches this.
