Can undefeated Frank Trevino become the face of Mexican MMA?   [View Full Version]

Seven years ago, Frank Trevino was 280 pounds and had never even considered training in MMA. Now he's a welterweight and middleweight champion in a regional Texas promotion and hoping to become the face of Mexican MMA.

Erik Perez he's young and play's to his Mexican heritage and I think undefeated?

Oh and the HW Champ Cain.

He's undefeated in the UFC but has a couple of losses outside the promotion.

Is being a Mexican-American fighter that much of a novelty? Tito Ortiz was the biggest name in the sport over a decade ago (at least outside of Japan). And, like people have been saying, Cain Velasquez is currently UFC champion (and Dominick Cruz might be soon as well).
