This has seriously pissed me off! How can they cut Fitch and expect people to believe they have a complete roster?
Regardless of how harsh or low you rank him he's still top 10. He's only lost to GSP, Maia and Hendricks and I'd put money on him beating Hendricks if they fought again!
I can't find one top 10 WW ranking with out Fitch on it!

Who are they going to replace him with? A TUF guy? Hype up Alves again? Maybe Silva who he just beat in one of the fights of the year will take his place?!
Regardless of if you like his style he's top 10 and deserves a place in the UFC and cutting him for a loss to the two guys who are talked about as the number 1 contenders is a joke! Especially when he just beat an up and coming guy like Silva!

I knew he handled the match-making and whatnot but I wasn't sure how much power he had in the releases.
Shocked by the cut of Fitch. They just picked up a bunch of new fighters with merger of SF but I see no reason to cut Fitch.

I'm baffled by the release of Jorge Santiago. The dude steps up to fight Gunnar Nelson, someone who is completely unknown and incredibly dangerous on short notice and in a different country. He put on a great fight and was swinging for the fences to end the fight...

This is super shocking. Never have I seen so many cuts on the same day, involving as many guys with crazy tenure. Fitch is the most shocking, right, and the theory about turning down a late notice replacement for MacDonald wouldn't be surprising if true.
I'm not saying Dana owes us an explanation, but it would be welcome. This is unpredecented, and we may be looking at 1-2 in the last 3 as the new 0-2 when it comes to cuts.
And yes, I agree that Garcia being in the UFC for as long as he has is ridiculous, especially in light of the guys being cut today.
