Jim Miller Welcomes Pat Healy to Octagon at UFC 159   [View Full Version]
DrivenDavies15 » Posted 8/10/11 1:23:00AM

The Ultimate Fighting Championship was all about UFC 159 bout announcements on Tuesday night. Less than an hour after confirming a heavyweight scrap between Roy Nelson and Cheick Kongo and a light heavyweight matchup with Vinny Magalhaes and Phil Davis to the lineup, the promotion added a lightweight tango between Jim Miller (Pictured) and Pat Healy to the April 27th roster.

Miller has alternated between wins and losses over his past five outings. The 29-year-old battered and bloodied Joe Lauzon in his last foray for a unanimous decision victory.

Damn. This seems like a step down for Miller. He'll shine in his home town though with a dominate win I'm thinking.

Easy fight for Miller IMO.

The Healy brothers can take a beating and its a good thing to because Jimmy Miller is going to put the stamp on Pat

I was hoping for this as well. TJ Grant vs Miller would have been awesome. I would have really shown where Grant stands in the division.

Healy is a step down for Miller IMO. Miller dominates this fight. Probably my pick for KO of the night.

All you guys are writing off Healy way to easily & I'm a huge Miller fan but based off this thread Pat is going to have incredible odds. Miller has proven in the past he has a hard time with wrestlers or strong grapplers with good take downs (look at fights with Bendo, Bocek, & Tibau) & Pat is ridiculously physical so he could deff replicate the problems those guys gave Jim. On top of that people who say this is a step down consider that Pat deserves a top contender so I'm ok with this fight. He wasn't allowed to fight for the strikeforce title on 2 occasions neither of which was his fault & a win over Gilbet could have changed his career so he deserves this fight imo.

I don't think everyone is counting Healy out. But it is a step down for Miller IMO. My guess will be that Jim Miller will open at a 3-1 favorite.

Miller all the way

Miller has only lost to the best 155 has to offer. I don't think Healy belongs anywhere near that category. Healy is a good fighter and all but he's being brought in to give Miller a win in Jersey.

Bad Moon Rising is gonna get a Oregon style, honky Tonk beat down at the hands of Mr. Bam-Bam.

UD for Patrick.

Easy win for Jim Miller.

Bam Bam doesn't have the striking needed for his ground game to be effective against Jim. Jim is better everywhere and he will keep it standing, and possibly cutting Bam Bam up like Jlau
