Posted 7/4/07 4:41:00AM Bellator MMA kicked off its run on Spike TV with a highly technical and entertaining title fight, but given the depth of the featherweight division, Bellator Chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney ruled out the possibility of an immediate rematch. Posted 4/8/07 11:45:00AM I don't see any reason for an immediate rematch. It was close but Curran won it for sure imo. _______________________________________ |

Posted 5/25/12 8:57:00PM Agreed, immediate rematch won't be enough time for Freire not to eat straight and jabs. Let him get a few more fights in a turny or w.e. imo |

Posted 6/21/07 4:27:00PM If Straus wasn't there waiting for a title shot, I bet they'd make a rematch. Unless Rad and Shah Sham resolved quickly and could fight Curran soon. |

same here as well. i thought the rounds that curran won were a definitive win. and with him coming on really strong in the 5th i just dont think there needs to be a rematch. i didnt think that fight was a split decision, but hey, these judges are always questionable. |
