Velasquez sits on top of the mountain as the "baddest man on the planet". However, DC could very well be the best HW in the world since he won the most talent stacked HW tournament of all time.

It's pretty clear that this fight is unlikely to happen but these guys make up an amazing stylistic match.

So what do you guys think?

Velasquez would probably win that fight but Cormier could grind him out possibly, still would much rather see him fight Jones.

Velasquez by miles. Cormier is extremely good, especially for the short amount of time he's been active in mma, but he's getting a little too much hype behind him now. I think Jones would finish him within 3 rounds if they fought.

i think valasquez could gut out a victory with his cardio and standup. i think he is probably the only HW that could stop DC's wrestling.

i hope to see DC do some big things this year. a move to LHW or at least toss a few more HW's around like he did to Barnett. that throw was sick, i have never seen a HW throw someone like that

i'd like to see cormier vs dos santos, if cormier wins his SF fight

I say Velasquez wins the fight but, I'd be rooting for Cormier

I had to pick Cain Velasquez. He really surprised me in the JDS fight. Not so much that he won because I figured he could but thought JDS would win again.
But it was how Cain beat JDS. It was really just a one-sided beat down and Cain had JDS in trouble each and every round while Cain was never threatened.
I was surprised and I was impressed with Cain's performance over the previous Champion JDS.

As of now, i picked Cain for sure. But i would like to see cormier have one fight in the ufc. The major issue here is work rate. Could cormier keep up ??

Cain fo sho, but it's not like they'll ever fight anyway
