Matt Mitrione was so concerned about preparing for Roy Nelson, an invitation to enroll with VADA seemed like an unnecessary diversion.

Roy wins this round. Now I've fallen for Roy's mental game questioning why Matt can't just submit some urine, it's not that hard....

Roids!!!

LOL... kidding.

Actually the testing is a pain in the ass. They show up at random weird hours, usually at dawn, so you have to haul yourself out of bed and submit the urine, sign a few forms.

Not the worst thing in the world, obviously, but still a bit of effort. In this case, he probably should have agreed to do it though. When your opponent challenges you, it just casts too much doubt and speculation that you have something to hide if you start coming up with excuses as to why you can't or won't.

He still will be tested before and after the fight, by the athletic commission, no need to answer to Roy boy, he isn't an athletic commission. I understand what your saying though, had Meathead failed a test before, then I could see this as a problem, with him declining, but since he has been clean every other fight, no need to answer to Roy.

i dont see meathead being a roid guy. it does look suspicious to some people but because its mitrione, I'm not

The fighters in the UFC should (imo) stop calling each other out like this....it makes it seems like they don't trust the UFC or the Commissions. I understand that totally, but from a professional stand point I think it would be wiser to voice these ideas during the fighter's symposiums with Dana, the refs and the Commissioners present. I think if they had one solid voice and message at a place and time like that it would be much more effective.

Roy should just worry about his self and go about his own business. As long as the fighters are following the rules of the UFC and whatever commission the fight takes place in, that is all they have to follow.

No reason its not required.

Roy Nelson gets weirder and dumber every fight, nevertheless he can beat some ass but man.

I think they pay for it out of their own pockets too. F that S.

If Roy spent as much time concentrating on improving his athleticism as he does on drug testing opponents he wouldn't have to worry so much about who is juicing and who isn't. Did you see his performance in the coaches challenge on TUF!!!??

The guy has skills and sure can take a punch but watching him perform athletics was like watching fat club.
