Posted 4/8/07 11:45:00AM Christian M'Pumbu's first light heavyweight title defense will have to wait yet again. Bellator's 205-pound champion was set to defend his belt for the first time later this month at Bellator 84. But an injury to opponent Attila Vegh (25-7-2 MMA, 4-0 BFC) will force him out of the fight and off the card, and M'Pumbu (18-4-1 MMA, 3-1 BFC) will be off the card along with him. Sources close to the promotion on Monday confirmed the news to MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) and also said the fight falling off will, for now, result in just three fights on the televised main card. Posted 6/7/11 4:52:00AM it also makes people less likely to want to order tix to an event to see one or two particular fighters. _______________________________________ |

Posted 4/8/07 11:45:00AM There goes my two man parlay. This was going to be a great fight too. I hate injuries. Today just feels like a crappy day for mma. _______________________________________ |

Posted 6/6/12 1:54:00PM I was really looking forward to this fight too. This card was ridiculously stacked for a Bellator event. On the bright side we still have-Richard Hale vs. Alexander Volkov and Marcin Held vs. Dave Jansen. Plus we get to look at Felice Herrig vs. Michele Gutierrez. |
