Posted 7/5/07 6:21:00PM Luiz Cane entered UFC 153 in a must-win position. After losing three of four at light heavyweight, the Brazilian striker decided to drop to the middleweight division and was matched up with Chris Camozzi. Unfortunately for him, he dropped a unanimous decision. And according to his manager Alex Davis (via Tatame), he has been released from his UFC contract as well. Davis also said that Cane has had to undergo two knee surgeries lately and that he will be back with some wins outside the organization. Link |

Posted 8/14/11 9:31:00PM No big surprise. Really wish he would have taken a chance against Camozzi, instead of waiting until the last minute of the fight to get throwing the leather. Would be smart for WSOF to scoop him up, since he has a little name value. |

Posted 12/17/07 8:56:00PM The Brazilian "striker"! The guy was a waste of talent. I picked him so many times thinking "He must of learned by now, his cardio has got to be better" and every time he screwed me! How can he drop a whole weight class and still have a flabby gut!? I'm just bitter, hope he does well in the smaller events. _______________________________________ |

He didn't lose 4 in a row, though he went 1-4 in his last five fights. and a 4-5 overall UFC record. |
