Posted 7/5/07 6:21:00PM Days after Big Nog's win over Dave Herman, "Lil' Nog" Antonio Rogerio Nogueira aimed to get back into action by asking to replace Chael Sonnen as Forrest Griffin's opponent at UFC 155. The last time we saw Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, he soundly defeated Tito Ortiz at UFC 140, but he has yet to fight this year. He was Alexander Gustafsson's original opponent for the Sweden card in April, but an injury forced him out and there have been no murmurs about his future since. Well that's changed after Forrest Griffin was left without an opponent following the UFC's decision to send the undefeated, undisputed Chael Sonnen against Jon Jones for the light-heavyweight title. Lil' Nog took to Twitter to announce he's healthy, training, and wants Forrest Griffin at UFC 155. Link |

Hell yeah. That's a great fight. Both coming off of Tito wins. It makes a lot of sense to me. _______________________________________ |

Posted 10/18/12 4:21:00PM This is an ok fight for me, but it doesn't really get me excited. There's a few guys that I'd rather see Forrest fight in his place. A 3rd fight with Bonnar would be fun (albeit irrelevent). I think a rematch with Rashad works too, as Rashad needs a comeback fight. The fight I'd want to see most is Forrest v Phil Davis. I think they match up well stylistically, and Davis needs a big name opponent. |

Hopefully we get a nostalgia fight for both their exits. Bonnar could definitely take it this time around via superior grappling control and hope to cement a real legacy complete with a career feat. |

Posted 10/18/12 4:21:00PM It's possible. I still like the idea of the Davis fight better though. I think it's the perfect next step for Phil. |

I wouldn't mind a Davis and Griffin fight, although, I would want to see Davis get a higher ranked opponent than Forrest. _______________________________________ |

Posted 10/18/12 4:21:00PM I'd ultimately like to see him get a higher ranked opponent too, however his options are limited. Bones faces Sonnen Machida faces Henderson Rua faces Gustaff He's already fought Rashad, so that won't be happening again. Davis v Glover makes a ton of sense, but the UFC is set on having Glover face Rampage. Forrest seems like the next logical choice. |
