"To me the records were just a starting point," recalls John Paul Jones, "The most important thing was always the stage show. So many great nights. At our worst we were still better than most. At our best we could just wipe the floor with the lot of them. It was just a very good live band."

are you serious Matt Serra at 1 all he had was one big win if he beats Hughes he is 1 but he isnt right now!!!!!!!

I agree theres no way Serra is #1. Also how can Sean Sherk be # 10 on that list. Sherk would ground and pound almost the whole list, total B.S.

you have to remember the list is put together by a bunch of dudes on mmaweeklys boards.....serra being no. 1 i can agree with, there was no 170 division in pride therefore no title holder, and the guy with the belt is the number one guy in any weight class IMO. thats who everyone else wants to beat to get the belt so i can live with that, sherk at 10 to me is horsesh*t, by my standards for the number 1 guy he is either 1 or 2(since gomi's title wasnt on the line against diaz and now that decision has been scratched). i dont think serra is the best fighter at WW but i dont see anyone else holding gold and until i do hes my #1 too

I disagree with alot of those rankings. I think that the rankings should be based on how they have been doing over their last couple of fights. I dont believe that 1 good fight should put someone at #1 ranking in the world...

Nick Ring transcends rankings. He'd be #1 but he wants to fly under the radar before winning the belt in every division.
