Report: Luke Rockhold injured, out of Strikeforce title defense vs. Lorenz Larkin   [View Full Version]
Budgellism » Posted 4/8/07 11:45:00AM

Luke Rockhold reportedly has suffered a wrist injury and is out of his title defense next month.

The injury is the latest blow to Strikeforce's Nov. 3 card in Oklahoma City, which now is missing complete main and co-main events. Rockhold (10-1 MMA, 9-0 SF) was scheduled to defend his middleweight title against Lorenz Larkin (13-0 MMA, 4-0 SF) in the night's co-feature.

News of Rockhold's injury first was reported by The MMA Corner, citing sources close to the fighter's camp, though neither Strikeforce nor Rockhold have made announcements of the news yet.

I feel like I am jinxing the cards because I just recently bought the showtime channels a week before the melendez fight and a few says later Gilbert went down -.-

I was looking forward to this fight.

If Rockhold is going to be out for a great deal of time Lorenz Larkin vs Ronaldo Souza sounds good to me.

Injuries aren't even news anymore....

Never pick against a Russian, currently 32-11 (74%) in the UFC since 2012. #DoItForWatson

Just fold strikeforce already
We all know Showtime just gonna can the event now
Wow three title fights in a row injured for them
I see a trend

I think if SF wants to stay afloat, it's time to for cross-promotion of the SF and UFC fighters to happen.

Strikeforce will probably cancel the event. I think it is time that the UFC assimilates Strikeforce already. To quote the Borg....."resistance is futile".
