Taking a couple stories from Creepshow and Creepshow 2 and actually doing them well might be good too. They were so hokey, but there's real potential there with today's CGI technology and a decent budget.

I actually liked the first Resident Evil. It had a great feel in the beginning and made it's own story. The sequels sucked.
I know it almost never works out, but I wish they would make more video games into movies. FF7 AC was sweet and I actually enjoyed Max Payne (they did a better job at it than people give it credit for) and the aforementioned RE.
I think Star Craft could be good, though I'm pretty sure SC was just ripped from Alien, Predator, and Starship troopers combined.
Maybe they should remake Mario Brothers, I own that movie and refuse to give it higher than a 5/10, even for the time. They can remake that all they want imo, but I'm mostly with 20 20 dollars on this one.
Mass Effect would make a great 3 part movie if done right. Hell, make it 8 like Harry Potter. I'm thinking a Lord of the Rings type feel, but in space. Just have to worry about that thankskilling turkey in space though.

Halo would be a badass game to make a movie into.
Although I might not want that to be made into a movie until maybe 5-10 years from now. Just because it would take an epic amount of special effects

I would hope that they make it a raw action movie full of badassery..... Some of these movies try to have stories and turn mediocre like Immortals.

I'm shocked it hasn't happened yet. I'm not a fan of the games since the first 2, but they're a phenomenon and you'd think they'd take advantage of the popularity and make as much money as they can through things like movies.

It's been done for quite a while, but it got shelved. It finally comes out in a couple of months.

Lucky for halo the games are ongoing. Plenty of opportunity to still make a boatload of money.
Maybe wait until the series is over?
I was thinking. Grand Theft Auto is an absolutely HUGE franchise as well. Arguably bigger then halo. A series of movies that loosely followed the story could be good depending on the cast. I feel the story is already good enough but I can see them casting actors that just don't fit.
And yes I know vice city was loosely based on Scarface
