I'm not a fan of Bisping, I just think he gets criticized too much for this. Even if he isn't putting guys away with one shot, the fact is that he finishes fights. Again, he's 22-4 with only 4 wins coming by decision and only one loss coming by stoppage.

He does get the job done, against middle of the pack fighters. He has lost every time he fights above average comp imo

He had to hit all of them about 20,000,000,000 times and he cheated to beat Rivera. None of them were actual KOs.

Never been a fan of the guy orhis fighting style, but he's winning, and finishing, he must be doing something right.As for the issue with Benavidez, I'm on Bisping's side. If someone insults you, you make it right. It's not like Benavidez is just another fan - he and Bisping rub shoulders with al the same people.Sure Benavidez might be strong or stronger - but when there is no way to ever back his words up it looks a little childish. Sure Bisping should have responded better- laughing it off,or making some "Joe B buys his clothing from the kid's section"jokes.

Chris Weidman has 3 Decisions on his 9 fight record....he has soft hands too. People who ignore Bisping's finishing ability just don't like the guy. He's easy not to like sometimes, but I don't mind him. He obviously needs to learn to take a little ribbing better but I also imagine he's at one of the more intense parts of his weight cut, on a terrible diet, and in a pissed off mood already. Then as he gets ready to go into a fight in a few days he sees a guy who has been openly disappointed with not headlining the card anymore talking trash about him. I'd probably be upset too. Hell I get mad if I miss a meal in general....my most ornery posts on the playground have been inspired by something like running out of pizza or chips.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending his personality. Personally I dislike him most of the time (one of the few times I was rooting for Chael Sonnen was their fight.)
I just think it's silly to get hung up on a concept like "punching power." Like I said, it doesn't really matter how hard you hit as long as you finish the fight.

This seems to tell a story of Bisping starting shit, yet again. It isn't specific enough for me to know that Bisping didn't start talking first, but it looks like he's going after their whole team essentially. I could be wrong about the order of operations here, but from how I saw things, it looks like Bisping is talking shit to an entire camp of people 40 pounds lighter than him. Big man.
I mean they are trained fighters. Someone made a crack about him maybe they shouldn't have fired the first shot at a bigger guy.

Some of them like Sonnen and Bisping have cottoned on to the fact that if they say things that people get talking about, negative or not, it garners interest. It's sad but true.
