Posted 6/7/11 4:52:00AM With Machida not guaranteed a shot anytime soon & Hendo out of the JJ fight, the possibility of us seeing this fight is pretty good imo. Who would you pick? _______________________________________ |

Posted 1/18/12 9:29:00PM Would love to see this fight. It would show us whether Machida is still learning or not. Old Machida would get sick of counterstriking and go in brawling for a few too many seconds and possibly come out KO'd. New Machida hopefully does what he did to Randy Couture. |

Posted 4/7/11 11:08:00PM This has Machida via decision written all over it, but I would much rather see Henderson fight Rashad and see Machida drop to 185. |

Posted 1/27/12 10:34:00PM i said machida, he would have to be careful early but eventually dan would get frustrated and start winging some bombs in and then lyoto should get a few good shots in.... |

Posted 6/11/07 4:16:00PM There is almost zero chance that Dan's plodding style would be successful enough to land the H-Bomb. Machida all day long in this match-up, if you ask me. |

Agreed. Dan's style is far to straightforward to really be successful against the extremely illusive Machida. Dan has virtually no mobility by way of footwork and cutting angles, and he tends to load up on one shot, that big ol' H-bomb coming in. Machida would likely circle out and counter and pick Dan apart en route to a 30-27 UD. Still, Dan does have a shot since all he really needs to do is land 1 H-Bomb and what should have been a loss could turn into a W for him. |

Posted 4/8/07 11:45:00AM Machida UD but you can still never count Hendo out. He could easily clip Machida and finish him off. _______________________________________ |

Posted 5/31/07 3:28:00PM Dan Henderson is a counterpuncher's dream. He's very predictable, telegraphs his techniques and he's not particularly fast. He has a lot of power, but that only comes into play if he connects. When Machida has a guy timed they don't connect at all. Terrible matchup for Dan--maybe the worst for him in the entrie LHW division. Machida by wide UD. |

Agree with fullerene Machida moves very quick and doesn't favor a side to circle to like bisping. Dan's best chance in the fight would be to either fight from the clinch couture style. OR get machida to the ground and stay in top position and land damage. Both are tall orders however. But with the right conditioning and the hope that Dan doesn't tire out he could squeak by _______________________________________ |
