Posted 7/19/07 11:27:00AM Babalu to Bellator Recently signed fight veteran Renato "Babalu" Sobral to appear in Tournament 8 possibly even Tournament 7, unfortunately not signed early enough to settle beef with Lombard. |

Posted 8/10/11 1:23:00AM This LHW tourny would have been 10X more interesting if he were involved. Pumped to see him compete! WAR BABALU |

Posted 9/30/09 9:33:00PM this is good. i always thought bellator was kind of weak in the upper weight classes. babalu is not what he used to be but still a great addition for bellator |

Posted 7/30/11 2:57:00PM Fantastic addition to the roster. I was a big fan of Babalu when he was in the UFC but when he got cut it was hard to keep track of his fights, being all over the map n all. Good to see him find a solid MMA home

Ok now compare Babalu to the rest of Bellator's roster, Your only comparing him to the 2 most popular faces Bellator built up. |

Babalu has done better already outside an in the UFC than Lombard....he doesn't only crush cans! His chin isn't great at LHW....but at MW he owned Robbie Lawler and kept it standing the whole time, due to that I think he should move to and stay at MW and if he could I would like to see him take on Lombard....I would pick him to win for sure. He can take what MW's dish out in punching power, but not LHW's. |
