Josh Koscheck has been forced out of his scheduled bout against Jake Ellenberger on the Sept 1 card due to a bulging disc in his back.

Unfortunately now UFC officials are left to find a replacement to try to step in and face Ellenberger on just three weeks notice for the upcoming card in Las Vegas.

The injury was reported on Fuel TV via UFC Tonight on Tuesday evening.

BJ Penn

That sounds insane. For the first round anyway.

I dont think i've ever said this. But if Ellenberger v. Penn made it to the second round, It's Penn all the way.

I also like the Ellenberger/Penn fight.

Everyone else is either injured or already scheduled and they need to keep a good fight to save the main card so I better see 'Penn vs Ellenberger official for UFC 151' in the headlines when I wake up tomorrow

This is awful news

This is the first thing I seen when I woke up to leave for work

They need someone to make a good co main event. Besides the Main Event the card was looking pretty thin.

Did Prozacnation hack your account??

It is true though, card is pretty weak, the main card is prelim quality, and this one hasn't been ravished by injuries. Silva dropped the ball putting this one together.

I think Penn wont take the fight if offered to him, since he seems dead set on facing Rory, instead I would offer the fight to the other guy who called out BJ, Siyar Bahadurzada.

Penn vs Kos at 151
Rory vs Berger after healings.
The latter is primarily what I have been clamoring to see, but I would be a big fan of either.

Koscheck is the one injured, not Ellenberger.

Sucks I am going to this.
This card was crap. Now is worse
I doubt Penn fights on this card
But Ufc needs a solid co main event.
I would not be suprised if its Jake vs mike swick now
They need another solid fight on the main card

Wow fail. I even read everyone saying Penn vs Ellenberger and still translated that into Kos vs Penn. I guess that's enough from me for the day.
