Luiz Cane meets middleweight Chris Camozzi at UFC 153 in Brazil   [View Full Version]

In his first bout in more than a year due to injuries, former light heavyweight Luiz Cane (12-4 MMA, 4-4 UFC) will fight on home soil when he meets middleweight Chris Camozzi (17-5 MMA, 4-2 UFC) at UFC 153.

UFC officials today announced the fight via Twitter.

UFC 153 takes place Oct. 13 at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro. Featherweight champion Jose Aldo meets challenger Erik Koch in the evening's pay-per-view main event.

Whoo, tough draw for Camozzi! He's gonna need some good ol' American wrestling, or another hail mary skull slicing knee to pull this off.

Solid fight. Tough draw for Camozzi. I think Cane takes it KOTN style.

Did I miss something or did Cane do something recently that got everyone back on his hype-train? This is Banha Cane, right?

I think it has more to do with Camozzi than Luiz

I didn't mean to imply Camozzi was better. If anything, I wouldn't be confident in either one of these guys.

he had a few OK fights, but i could think of some much more interesting fighters that could take his place on these cards.

Is Camozzi a southpaw?

If so, that's like 30 straight fights in a row that Cane fights a south paw.
