Nice main event, Koch stands even less of a chance now.

Vitor said "(Chris) Weidman, or the winner of the Cuban vs. (Tim) Boetsch. I'm waiting for my confirmation on the Rio card, see who's gonna be my opponent. Nobody send me anything yet. I believe I'll get an answer on that next week."

Didn't I just see CSJ is having shoulder surgery? The surgery was scheduled for this week or last week or next week. Anyways, probably going to have to wait on that matchup for a while.

This is seriously the most undeserves title shot in history. I'm fuming about it. Seriously Lamas, Jung or Siver all deserve it more. Think about it, Eriks last win was against Johnathan Brookins which was a very boring decision & neither fighter did anything significant at all. Charles Ollivera finished Brookins in less then 2 rounds, if anything Charles deserves the title shot more since he actually finished the bout. & if you say Koch is getting it more because of past fights please tell me which.

Ollivera even has him beat there. Escudero & Elkinks > Assaencio & Rivera

I'm upset with this title fight its a absolute robbery

Pretty sure there have been more undeserving title shots in history......
Anyhow, Jung is out so that scratches that. While you could make a case for Lamas, I believe the Koch fight had already been decided as Hioki had previously been the most likely contender. Lamas beat Hioki after Aldo beat Mendes, a while ago, so they couldn't just sit around wondering what would happen in the Hioki-Lamas fight in order to make a title fight with one of those two guys fighting Aldo. Finally, Siver has 1 win at FW over Nunes, and since he isn't Kenflo, that doesn't qualify as the one fight necessary to get a title shot. As for Charles, he has two fights at FW, one of of them over Eric Wisely, which also doesn't carry much weight. Koch has the longest streak at that weight, it makes sense despite not being perfect. The only way this title fight is a robbery, is if the UFC forces you to pay for it.

1) I don't appreciate that comment about not being forced to pay for it. Look through my posts & youll see I never complain about cards. Just like I'm not complaining about this 1, I'm complaining about an unjust title shot. I'm sure the ufc will give a strong supporting card so I'm not worried.

2) if youre sure there has been a worse title shot given why dont you list any? Aside from Lesner I bet you can't name a worse one. Cote, Lietes, Monson all beat top ranked opponents before their shot. Who did Koch beat that is even top 12!?! I feel like you made my point regardless of if Siver & Ollivera are new to the weightclass. Isnt it embarrassing that 2 guys who have 3 combined fights at featherweight & already have 2 more impressive victories then "the #1 contender" who spent his entire time at with zuffa at 145?
