Posted 7/5/07 6:21:00PM The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Hall of Fame was created to honor past mixed martial arts (MMA) legends and their contributions to the fastest growing sport in the world. Fighters such as Mark Coleman, Randy Couture, Chuck Liddell, Matt Hughes, Royce Gracie, Dan Severn and Ken Shamrock are past UFC competitors enshrined in the promotion's Hall of Fame. These fortune sons, among few others, have put their time inside the Octagon and have had an impact in helping MMA become the sport it is today, while assisting the UFC emerge is the clear-cut worldwide leader. In a rare move, TapouT founder Charles "Mask" Lewis was inducted after his passing in 2009, earning his place amongst the aforementioned legends because of his impact his clothing brand had on the sport and its rabid fans. With no set criteria, many have questioned the exact requirements that one must meet to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. Frank Shamrock, who was the UFC's first-ever Light Heavyweight champion, seems to think that that Hall of Fame has no credibility whatsoever. Why? Because he's not in it. Link |

Posted 5/25/12 8:57:00PM If one Shamrock deserves to be inside the UFC then it's Frank. Undefeated Undisputed UFC LHW Champion with three defenses. Not A lot of LHW champions can defend there belt once let alone three times, and he beat Tito Down nicely. |

Posted 1/27/07 9:53:00PM I agree with Frank. He was the most dominant UFC champion without question in his day. _______________________________________ |

Mania and BE got deleted from my bookmarks some time ago. I'll get my news from Junkie and MMA Weekly or really anywhere else. Their opinion pieces are terrible, and it seems like they have no editor. |

Posted 9/18/07 5:33:00PM Tito is being inducted before his next fight and it's no secret that Tito and Dana haven't had the closest relationship ever over the past few years. Frank has just been so disconnected from the UFC and spoken out so openly against Dana that it makes it hard to believe he'll get in. His stats seem to indicate that he should get in, but I'd be surprised to see it. |

Posted 1/27/07 9:53:00PM Frank went 5-0 in UFC LHW title fights and vacated the belt due to lack of competition but he had already left the UFC before Dana and the Fertitta's came along so that may also play a role in their determining who they want in their club. Tito Ortiz was the LHW champion when Zuffa formed to buy the organization and in their version of history, they probably consider Tito the first UFC LHW champ and anything that happened prior to their ownership isn't given the same recognition. _______________________________________ |

Then why are Royce Gracie, Ken Shamrock (who was pitiful in the Zuffa era) and people like Dan Severn in it then?, |

![]() I have to say I am stunned by everyone's agreement with Frank. I totally disagree. 1 title reign, 3 defenses and 5 total fights does not mean HOF IMO. That is not even counting the fact that I feel he has been anti UFC for years and couldve have ruined the sport as we know it. I dont think he did as much for the UFC as those other guys did IMO. I cant say that I can name one guy on here that Frank was even close to in terms of importance in UFC history. Mark Coleman, Randy Couture, Tito Ortiz, Chuck Liddell, Matt Hughes, Royce Gracie, Dan Severn , Mask and Ken Shamrock Hell Id even add Forrest before I would Frank. |
