As expected, the UFC returns to its birthplace on Aug. 11.

UFC officials today confirmed with "The Denver Post" that Denver's Pepsi Center will play host to UFC 150.

The report also confirmed the previously reported matchup of Dennis Hallman vs. Thiago Tavares while also revealing Luiz Cane (12-4 MMA, 4-4 UFC) will drop to 185 pounds to meet Yushin Okami (26-7 MMA, 10-4 UFC) at the event.

A featured bout for the card was not revealed.

Eight-time UFC veteran Cane fights as the middleweight for the first time after mixed results in the company's light heavyweight division. After opening his octagon career at 3-1, he's since fallen to .500 in the UFC with three losses in his past four fights. Most recently, Cane was handed a disappointing first-round TKO result by Stanislav Nedkov.

Okami all day

This is a scary fight for Okami. Cane is near the bottom of the ufc bracket but he is a heavy hitter. It is a scary to think what will happen to the one time number 1 contender if he is to lose to a low ranked fighter like Cane.

I personally think the matchmaker should have given Okami someone with more skills and less knock out power.

Okami is a southpaw.

Cane has gotten knocked out by every south paw he's ever fought.

Finally, Joe Silva throws Okami a bone.....Thunder walks through Cane.

Nice to see Cane back. I wouldn't say Yuhsin Okami for sure, after Tim Boetsch won you just never know.

Bingo.

I'll be rooting for Cane, but i'm pretty sure he's toast.

This should be an easy one for Okami, and maybe he'll even get the tko finish.

I wouldn't jump the gun and say Okami all day. About 90% of the time I would but that last loss Okami suffered you just never know. A loss like that could really mess with a fighter. Cane has very heavy hands and should be huge at MW. Okami could be in trouble.

Okami by UD

Watch for the takedowns
