Hey guys,
This is my latest highlight, short, but meant to be more of a teaser/preview to a longer one later. let me know what you think, I had fun making this one...

SPARTANS

i don't get it. What do Fedor and Couture have to do with 300?

rcg916 » Posted 3/20/07 3:54:00PM

a little thing called symbolism...

Sorry, just thought it was an interesting comparison. I guess if you look at it literally, then they have nothing to do with it. IMO, these are some of the guys that have beaten long odds to get where they wanted to go...

thanks for looking though...

I like the idea of featuring heavy underdogs, and them not always winning against the odds (they're underdogs for a reason).

get rid of the actual 300 footage, and only keep the narration for the first speech. then follow it up with some music.. some of the clips didn't mesh too well, could have been placed better

2cents from me

I really like the idea.
Spartans - That times ultimate warriors.
MMA fighters - Our times ultimate warriors.

As loller said most of the speech didn't mesh too well. Get the 300 soundtrack and use the song Fever Dream. It's perfect for an MMA-highlight.
Try to sync the drums with the actual footage as good as possible.
Keep the awesome "This is Sparta!" line...

I think the idea has potential to be one of the coolest HLs around.

Thought it was great... I have no idea how to even begin making a HL, it all seems kinda amazing to me, so unfortunately I don't have any 'thoroughly critical" comments...

Have to spread the props around, so I can only give you one of these:
