Lmao. "Those cornermen, someone needs to kick their ass" At least he wasn't foaming at the mouth and screaming, like in Japan LINK _______________________________________ |

Posted 5/17/11 11:13:00PM I, for one, like Rogan and his emotional outbursts. It tends to amplify the magnitude of what is happening inside the cage >>> Of course, that does tend to sway the viewers and opinions of the fight but who cares - I don't. Just know that everything Rogan says is not true and most of it comes from his very own biased opinions. Being emotionally animated helps make any event more entertaining whether it is a football game or a fight. To be honest, I would personally encourage the outbursts as long as the material is said within TV standards. As far as Anik goes, I think he is lacking emotions tremendously. The man can speak but it seems he is reading a script and there are no emotions attached to what he is saying - which I believe a lot of viewers are finding difficult to connect with... Just ask yourself why Rogan is such a popular guy. He is - because we connect with him through his animated outbursts. You take that away, and you just took away something intricate which IMO is part of why the ufc is so popular. |

Posted 3/25/09 9:45:00PM Rogan is the man and doesn't need to tone down anything... Albeit biased at times. Jon Anik is the worst... he is never excited at all when fights are finished... at least KenFlo was jumping up and down when Kampmann finished Alves, but Anik is just so boring to listen to. _______________________________________ |

Posted 3/24/07 5:29:00PM As far as Anik goes, I think he'll get better given some time. I thought he did an outstanding job on MMA Live...this is a change of pace though, so he's got a bit of a hump to get over, but I think it will ultimately happen. |

Posted 7/4/07 4:41:00AM Rogan and Goldberg are the 2 guys I came up listening too so I have little problems with either. I normally don't hear them much cuz I'm paying close attention to the fights. The times I notice the commentary is when either guys out and a new guy is subbed in. _______________________________________ |

Posted 10/28/07 9:57:00PM Rogan could quit or get fired he would not be missed. He is not an unbiased announcer. I don't like him at all. He should call the fight and not trash the fighter. IMO |

Is it just because you picked Okami, you thought you were on your way to a solid 9 points, and then Boetsch spoiled you plans?? ![]() I'll admit, thats what happened to me. I picked Okami and I was feeling pretty good right before that knockout. So I was thinking "Oh shut up joe....that comeback cost me 9 points." Anyway....I love you Rogan's style. He does tend to ramble, but I feel as though its mostly only when nothing is going in. I actually enjoy that because it gives me a difference source of entertainment when nothing is going on in the fight. One time, in a bar, the manager refused to turn the sound of the UFC commentary on because the Black Hawks were playing. I missed Joe and Goldy so much that I haven't been back there since. It even irritates me that I can't hear them at live fights. There's a lot of nostalgia mixed into the UFC for me. Already, most of my favorite fighters are retired or no longer relevant. If they take away authentic Rogan....I don't know what I'd do. |
