Posted 4/26/07 1:42:00AM Diablo pioneered tons of the elements of RPGs that are standard these days. Things like loot-driven gameplay, the idea of bind on equip and bind on pickup items, the prototypes for what are now boss raids in MMORPGs, and tons of other stuff. The only thing that is bad about it IMO is that you have to click to walk instead of using arrows. I think if you haven't actually played the game, there's no way you can really criticize it, especially since the appeal of D2 is really the online multiplayer aspect, which you can't get any kind of feel for unless you interact with people yourself. It was a hugely innovative game, just like pretty much everything Blizzard ever makes. Look at a game like Borderlands, for instance. It's an FPS version of Diablo, everything from skill trees to loot-based gameplay, player classes designed to be used in parties to defeat large numbers of mobs and difficult bosses. So many games these days draw directly from diablo in a really big way. |

Posted 6/27/10 4:12:00AM just bought Saint's Row 3 so I could have a game I could pick up and play whenever I felt bored. Safe to say I love it and I remember why I like Saint's Row better than GTA. I just love the un-realism to the game. It is very video gameish and that is what I love. GTA is a blast too don't get me wrong but sometimes I don't want to play a pretty realistic game like GTA. So SRIII is a nice alternative to it. _______________________________________ |

I picked up Saints Row 3 a few weeks ago. I've been having fun causing so much havoc that I forget there are main missions sometimes. Also picked up The Witcher 2 and am going to start it sometime in the next week or so.

It really is a blast. I am loving every second of it. I have only heard great things about Witcher 2 _______________________________________ |

Posted 1/24/07 8:41:00PM Diablo 3 getting really bad reviews from fans. Skill tree and attributes have been removed, as is the somewhat open world. You just play it straight through and then repeat. Anyone care to elaborate? _______________________________________ |

Posted 7/3/07 12:31:00AM Just picked up Raiden Fighting Aces. Has the first 3 Raiden games, and I love it. It's a pretty short game, but very addicting. Check it out for the 360. It's like $20, and well worth it. _______________________________________ |

Posted 5/28/12 7:42:00PM I got the new twisted metal...its pretty sweet, but the multiplayer kinda sucks because you have to wait for enough players before the match starts...pretty fun tho |

I'm a hardcore D2 fan. Played the game for years, and I am loving D3. It's a tad easy, but I'm in normal mode at the moment. It doesn't have the skill tree and attributes, and it's a somewhat different game. I guess I'm kind of glad they switched up a lot of stuff to keep it interesting. $60 is steep for a PC game, but I've already put a ton of work into the game and I'm still in normal. Can't wait to play further. |
