Saturday's UFC on FOX 2 event drew an announced attendance of 17,425 and a live gate of $1.2 million.
UFC representative Ant Evans announced the figures in the night's post-event press conference, which MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) attended.
UFC on FOX 2 took place at United Center in Chicago and featured former light heavyweight champ Rashad Evans earning a one-sided unanimous-decision win over Phil Davis in the network-television headliner.
The Illinois Athletic Commission will verify the figures and release an official tally early next week.
While the number of "comp" or free tickets was not revealed, the figures represent an average revenue of $68.87 per ticket issued...

I was there and it was pretty live. Thing is, every educated MMA fan knew this would be a fairly boring card, and that the potential for great finishes was minimal, but that still didn't stop 17,000+ people buy tickets. I think that's due to Chael Sonnen almost entirely. Rashad gets some credit too for sure, but I'd say the credit for the ratings and gate numbers should go 55% to Chael, 25% to Rashad, 15% to Bisping and 5% for everyone else on the card.
