Mac Danzig (20-9 MMA, 4-5 UFC) today revealed his next booking, a UFC 145 matchup with Efrain Escudero (18-4 MMA, 3-3 UFC).
"Just signed to fight in March," Danzig posted on Twitter. "Opponent is tough as hell, but they all are. Efrain Escuerdo, March 24, Montreal."

I'm not, sure he didn't exactly look great against Volkmann but he came in on late notice against a rising star like him, i'm kinda surprised they didn't give him someone a little lower on the ladder though.

I know you have your reasons for not liking Danzig but I thought he did a very good job against a mean freight train like Wiman. Anyone who can take what Wiman dishes out deserves my respect. ...and that fight should have been fight of the night if it wasn't.
I really don't like Danzig. Ever since I saw him get smashed by Sakurai, I've been routing against him. His stint on the Ultimate Fighter made it worse. His fight with Wiman was great but I just can't like the guy.
I'll be pulling for Escudero but this'll be tough. Danzig by decision I think.

I first saw Danzig when he was on TUF. He seemed like a calm and unique character to me - of course, I only saw a few episodes.
Personality aside, I think Danzig has what it takes to be relevant in the ufc.
