Posted 4/8/07 11:45:00AM You can't keep good men down. Sources close to the event today told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that middleweights Jorge Rivera (19-9 MMA, 7-7 UFC) and Eric Schafer (12-6-2 MMA, 3-5 UFC) have verbally agreed to meet at UFC on FX 1. Contracts are expected shortly. "UFC on FX 1: Guillard vs. Miller takes place Jan. 20 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., and its main card airs live on FX. Preliminary bouts are expected to air on FUEL TV. LINK _______________________________________ |

Posted 6/21/07 4:27:00PM Pulling for Red, as I don't see much left in the tank for Rivera. So hopefully a submission win for Red would be good to see. Or a finish at all in this fight would be alright. Not expecting much though. |

Funny, I was just thinking that this was the UFC's way of getting rid of Rivera. Considering the HUGE grappling advantage that Schafer will have and Rivera's poor TDD, how do you seek Jorge winning this fight? |
