The girlfriend and I have started watching (500) Days of Summer but we're only about 15 minutes into it. Now that season premieres are starting to pop up, we may never finish it.

Thor - Not very good. The first half of the movie gave me a few good laughs, but the last half is pretty much the most derivative, girl falls for the guy, guy learns important lesson kind of nonsense.

I don't really even think that it satisfies the criteria for a mindless action movie, because the entire premise of the movie is that Thor is stripped of his powers and sent to earth as punishment, so he's basically just a human and all of the action that takes place beyond the first and last 10 minutes is Thor as a human, no lightning bolts or giant hammers, just literally Thor as if he was a pretty tough human.

I don't know, I think having a superhero movie where the "superhero" is stripped of all of his powers for 90% of the movie is a pretty bad idea. When I choose a movie called Thor I'm expecting to see a god that throws lightning bolts around and smashes people with a giant hammer, not just some guy who can fight pretty well.

That movie is a must! It's funny as hell and heart wrenching at the same time.

And Prophecy, I've yet to see Half Nelson. I'll have to check that out.

I just watched Green Lantern. I don't know if I am just getting too old for movies or what - but I found the movie tasteless. Don't let me stop you from watching this movie though ....I am quite the movie critic.
