Posted 3/24/07 5:29:00PM I love me some beef jerky...and well, just about any jerky for that matter. It's a good source of lean protein. The only real down side is that it's high in sodium. Personally, I don't use table salt at all, so I don't let something like that get in the way of enjoying a delicious snack like jerky, since it all balances out. If you're in the middle of a weight-cut though, you may want to resist...too much sodium makes you retain water. Edit: I would say that it's fine to have in your normal diet...it's just not the best when your actually doing a cut. |
