Posted 11/18/07 4:54:00PM UFC 130 recorded a gate of $2,577,250 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 28, 2011, according to official figures from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) released earlier today. The final attendance of 12,753 was a result of 7,470 tickets sold and 5,283 complimentary tickets. A considerable 1,161 tickets went unsold. UFC 130 was supposed to feature the trilogy match between lightweight champion Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard; however, both fighters sustained injuries while training for the 155-pound bout and it was postponed until later this year. Posted 5/11/10 11:54:00PM Wow that's crazy that they gave away 40% of the tickets. MLB has like 2500 games a year and they average well over 7500 paid tickets per game. |

Posted 1/8/08 1:05:00AM Is this a sign that MMA's popularity is waning? I'm not sure but what I do know is tickets are very expensive. If this is part of a trend I say Dana takes the best fighters from Strikeforce and has them fight in the Octagon. I've always said that having all the separate promotions without cross promotional fights was going to severely damage the sport... |

I wouldnt say its waning just bad luck for the UFC the main event goes down so long before the date of the fight...I mean if one got hurt a week prior Im sure the numbers would be significantly different...Personally I dont think the Urujah Faber Cruz card will do very well either... |

Posted 8/3/07 5:23:00PM Rampage/Hamill was the main event, what do you expect? Worst main event of the year for a regular, big PPV, of course the attendance was poor. Not a big deal. |
