Posted 4/8/07 11:45:00AM "Lightweights coming off of impressive wins face off in Vegas as Matt Wiman and Dennis Siver have verbally agreed to fight July 2nd," said UFC President Dana White LINK Great fight! This card is looking incredible already. Who wins it Playground? _______________________________________ |

Posted 4/8/07 11:45:00AM This seems like a 50/50 type match up that will end in a FOTN decision win for one of these guys. I'm going to pick Siver because he looked pretty good against G Sot and that is the most impressive win on either of these guys records. Could go to either guy though. _______________________________________ |

Posted 7/5/07 11:42:00PM They should have waited a week Could have been miller vs siver. But now. Seems. If miller wins and pettis loses Miller gets next title shot |

Posted 1/21/07 10:08:00PM How does this fight make sense for Siver? You go from fighting a legitimate contender George Sotiropoulos to fighting Matt Wiman? If I were Siver I'd hold out for a top five guy. |

Posted 6/21/07 4:27:00PM Not real top contenders open, so he'd have to wait for them to fight and heal and train and then fight. Prolly too long for him. Siver should handle Wiman since he handled George. Then after this fight and the other top contenders and the title holder and challenger fight then have to see how the LW picture looks. Siver might have to take another fight if he beats Wimans and the other top contenders win also before he gets a title shot. |

I This is ridiculous. Melvin Guillard is stuck in the same situation, though not as bad. No disrespect to Wiman, but come on!

Both guys are on impressive win streaks. I agree beating G sot is huge for Siver but at the same time most top contenders are busy with other fights. Wiman has shown to be a tough fight for anyone not named Spencer Fisher and I say why not throw him in there with Siver? If anything it'll just solidify that Siver should be a contender. Or maybe not. _______________________________________ |

Posted 6/21/07 4:27:00PM They could have matched up Guillard vs Siver but then the winner of that still might have to wait for a title shot or even take another fight. If they both win their next fights they could possibly be matched up. |

Posted 7/16/08 12:31:00PM Awesome fight! But tbh, wiman takes this one, considering his takedowns, GNP and the "eye of the tiger"! Siver is awesome! i love seeing him fight! but, him defending against sortiropolouses takedowns doesnt mean he can stop wimans.. Wiman has a horrifining pace and goes balls out! Siver has to be defenzive to be able to stuff takedowns and here will be his downfall, wiman will take it to him early and hard! It is up to Siver to weather the storm and throw some 1 strike KO punches/kicks (and this is not his portoflio) I would bet on Wiman! |

If you honestly believe Matt Wiman will win this fight, and were not being sarcastic. I would be willing to do an avatar bet with you. |
