Posted 9/24/10 8:39:00PM Antonio Mckee's debut on the "big leagues" ended up in a split-decision loss to Jacob Volkmann on UFC 125, and it looks like he won't be getting another chance to redeem himself. Much like his Bodyshop teammate Jason High, the former MFC champion has received his walking papers despite having only one decision loss with the promotion. Five Ounces of Pain has it: LINK |

Posted 9/24/10 8:39:00PM I guess that's just what happens when you build yourself up. The UFC probably only signed him to shut up all his smack talking. I personally would've liked to see him have another chance. |

Posted 10/13/10 10:40:00PM That has to be a bummer signing a four fight contract and being released after one fight. Judging by his record though, (didn't see the Volkmann fight) I don't think I'll miss seeing him in action. |

Posted 11/12/09 12:29:00PM Seems WEC fighters just do not translate well to the UFC ring, I don't think McKee had much to offer on the entertainment side of it - However the dude had 1 loss by SPLIT decision... Should make the other WEC fighters feel a bit of pressure |

Posted 7/5/07 11:42:00PM That was a broring fight Mckee barely went for takedowns did very little in striking And volkman controlled him and almost choked him out He had his back for over 3 mins but mckee either defended it well or Volkman technique was awful Anyways I was expecting way more from him and was dissapointed That split was a gift cause it should have been un decision for jacob |

Mckee wasnt a WEC fighter. He came from MFC. |

Posted 6/1/08 3:18:00PM Wow, I should have really been a fortune teller. I pretty much predicted everything but a SD across the board. |
