Bart Palaszewski Headed to UFC   [View Full Version]
emfleek » Posted 11/18/07 4:54:00PM

While lightweights Jamie Varner and Chris Horodecki's respective WEC contracts won't be carried over to the UFC, veteran 155-pounder Bart Palaszewski was fortunate enough to have his deal brought over to the organization.

MMA Fighting confirmed the news with Palaszewski's manager, Brian Butler of SuckerPunch Entertainment, Tuesday evening.

No word on when "Bartimus" will make his UFC debut just yet.

Idk why he shouldnt, he was on a winning streak and lost only by SD but hopefully he can put it together in the UFC, it will be tough though.

Glad to hear this since I wondered if he'd be included in UFC.
The guy is a talented vet who always puts on great fights and is the only guy to defeat Pettis so I feel he deserves a shot in the big time show.

i think he needs to win his first UFC fight, otherwise he's getting cut

I think Bartimus will get at least two cracks at the Lightweight division. Generally speaking, he always comes to stand and bang and put on a good show. He did the best he could to stay active and put the hurt on Shalorous, and lost what was, in my opinion, a razor thin split decision.

Bart deserves to be in the UFC. I was just taking a look at his sherdog page, and he has some really good wins(especially considering where the guys were ranked at the time he beat them), and he rarely loses by anything other than decision. You couple that with the fact that he's a finisher and puts on a show time and time again and it's clear that he at least deserves a shot, if not more than one should he lose his first fight on the big stage.

I don't think his wrestling or BJJ is good enough to last in the UFC......I hope he can keep his first fight standing.
