Posted 8/3/07 12:38:00PM Although he'd been hinting recently at perhaps jumping up to 185 after cleaning out 170 and perhaps being a dual champ. Now's a good time to go up. It's over. 3 50-45...and STILL UFC Welterweight Champion, Georges St. Pierre. |

Posted 6/21/07 4:27:00PM Yeah, I dont see GSP facing Fitch again w/o going up to 185 first. |

Posted 6/21/07 4:17:00PM Got to give KOS credit he last 5 rounds and stayed classy after getting beat up badly for those 5 rounds. _______________________________________ |

Posted 3/8/08 5:44:00PM I think GSP/Shields will be a closer fight but I have a hard time seeing Shields victorious unless he can take GSP down, because his stand up is Dean Lister caliber. |

I get so tired of reading stuff like this. If you don't like his fights don't watch them. I didn't find that fight boring at all and I think its really sad you did. _______________________________________ |

I think shields will just be trying to shoot the whole time and cling to a leg or ankle. |

if any1 thought this fight was boring, their not MMA fans IMO, GSP gets ragged on for always taking it to the ground, he destroys kos standing and still gets hate, like TEL said, dont like it dont watch |

I agree. And he's good enough that that'll work on most guys. GSP will just pick him apart standing, though. |

Posted 6/26/07 8:31:00PM All he's saying is it would be nice to see GSP TRY to finish when its obvious he can. GSP takes no chance. He's great and he's a gentleman but fans like to see guys go for it. |

I don't know what fight you and roger were watching but he tried many times to end the fight. He just never got in to slugging contest. _______________________________________ |

This x 1000 But I guess he should drop his hands and just throw sloppy power punches for the whole fight, |

Posted 6/11/07 4:16:00PM I have a few thoughts: 1) After GSP's past few fights I have said he was boring me. This was due to his holding dominant position for the vast majority of the fight and not finishing. However, in this fight both fighters tended to hold the same position (standing) and GSP was masterful. 2) I am beginning to believe that GSP is gaining an aura about him that makes him seem invincible even to his challengers. I am starting to think that GSP has a sort of "Mike Tyson aura" (but not yet to the same extent as Iron Mike) 3) To the guy with the "GSP is the Muhammad Ali of the UFC" sign: No. 4) GSP is the best fighter in the world right now, IMO. |
