Posted 12/17/07 8:56:00PM Earlier this week, ESPN's MMA Live reported that Matt "The Immortal" Brown had been cut by the UFC following his third straight loss. It seems as if the "worldwide leader" jumped the gun on Brown's release. Ariel Helwani posted the following on his Twitter feed after other sites picked up the ESPN report, "FYI - Matt Brown has NOT been released from the UFC. This comes from the UFC." The MMA Live report sounded feasible as Brown became part of UFC president Dana White's three-and-out club after losing to Brian Foster at UFC 123. Foster used a guillotine choke to end the fight at the 2:11 mark of the second round. Brown had also lost his two previous bouts via submission. Falling to Chris Lytle at UFC 116 and Ricardo Almeida at UFC 111. Link I'm not to sure if this is a legitimate source yet but heres a link to Ariel's twitter which does confirm what the artical is saying. That and the fact he once duelled Chuck Norris in a beard fight and lived to talk about it! _______________________________________ |

Posted 9/4/09 12:12:00AM This is why I do not watch MMA Live. IMO it is not that great at all. The only person on there that even knows what they are talking about is K-Flo. Inside MMA is where it's at. |
