With two wins in three fights in the UFC, Rogério “Minotouro” Nogueira revealed he wanted to return to the as soon as possible, but it looks like he’ll have to wait until 2011. According to souces close to his camp, Nogueira will face the former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz, who lost four of his last five fights, in 2011. TATAME.com called Rogerio, who didn’t confirmed the news, but revealed he also head Ortiz’s name. “I’ve heard some rumors of this fight, but there’s nothing signed. In my last fight they said about (Quinton) Rampage and they changed to Ryan Bader”, Nogueira said. Stay tuned for more news about the UFC.

Hopefully they stand and trade. Maybe trying to get Lil Nog a few more wins under his belt in the UFC.

I'm guessing Ortiz will be done with another loss here, otherwise other fighters should start complaining.

I'm betting the fight doesn't happen...I'm still confident of Tito's departure.

I am confident this fight won't happen because of the rankings mainly.....oh that and the article coming from Tatame....all of their articles should come with a "B.S." disclaimer.

While I don't entirely trust the TATAME either, I don't think they're on the "BS" level of certain other MMA sites (namely one in England that ends in Bay). Probably blowing this one out of context though, I'd cautiously slap the "False" tag on this one.

I don't know if I'd call this bullshit just yet. It said Nog was contacted and even he said that he's heard rumors, which means someone somewhere is talking about it.

Neither of these guys are relevant in the rankings at this point. Nog won against a low-name, was given a bullshit decision against Brilz, and lost to Bader. Everyone knows Ortiz isn't anywhere near the top.

I can see the UFC making this fight happen considering it would be one that will end up making money. Especially if Nog wins, and they probably know he will. What better way of getting rid of Ortiz then giving him someone with a name like Lil Nog and letting him gain more popularity with a win over Ortiz? Nog moves up into the rankings, Ortiz can be cut.

Seconded. I think Tito can win this fight. Nog, much like most Black House fighters, sucks against wrestling.

The rumours I heard swirling at UFC 120 was that if Alexander Gustafsson won (Which he did) he would face Nog next.

False. Junkie confirmed today via Dana that Tito's next. Could be at UFC 128. No exact date specified although 3/19 has been rumored for Abu Dhabi, but that also is not official.

Tito's gonna get worked but it would be cool to see him get a win finally.

prozacnation1978 » Posted 7/5/07 11:42:00PM

Tito lives!!!

Crazy should be lil nog vs hamill

I can see this fight in dubai happening

icantthinkofanything » Posted 1/16/09 11:38:00PM

i know Tito is a former champ. -but everytime he looses he gets another fight

With a fighter of equal or greater skill and ranking than his last.

Nog hasnt lived up to the hype, nog lost vs Brillz imo,

Style wise this could be good cuz Tito has great gnp, but Tito should really be getting a guy like Gustafson or Cyril since he hasnt won for a while!

I disagree with you.

Cane was a top ten name when Lil Nog beat him. I felt he beat brilz. And that the Bader decision was the bullshit one.

I think Ortiz is actually a fairly tough match-up for nog if it happens. Nog probably isnt going to get the sub, and although Nog has a huge advantage on the feet... ortiz can force the fight to the ground at will, and top position wins rounds.

Tough fight for lil nog if it happens.
