According to Dave Meltzer on f4wonline.com, Bobby Lashley's contract has run out, but he still has an exclusive negotiating period with Strikeforce before he can start talking to other MMA organizations that are interested in his services:

"Bobby Lashley’s contract has expired. Right now he’s in the exclusive negotiating period, meaning he can’t talk to anyone else in MMA, although his Strikeforce deal does allow him to do pro wrestling and he always expressed interest in going back..."

The smartest thing he could do is quit mma and go back to pro wrestling. I don't think his ego could handle another loss like the one he just suffered.

I'd still like toi see Dana come in get him on the cheap and throw him to Lesnar, especially if he loses to Cain. Thats PPV money right there.

No one wants to see that. Unless you're a pro wrestling fan.

I heard he was going back to wrestling anyways... He never lived up to the hype...

I wonder if strikeforce will resign him
That loss may have killed his mma career
I highly doubt ufc signs him but bellator could
He needs to work on the cardio

He's shown no improvement through his entire career. There is NO way the UFC will pick him up UNLESS he agrees to go through a season on TUF, which in my opinion he should have done when he had the opportunity.

He has 2 realistic options right now:

1. go back to pro wrasslin and stay out of MMA

2. quit wrasslin and make a legitimate shot at MMA. train full time, no WWE/TNA appearances. and learn to throw a punch! the guy makes Lesnar look like a pro kickboxer.
