Following his loss to Alan Belcher at this past weekend's UFC 113 event at Montreal's Bell Centre, middleweight Patrick Cote is set to undergo surgery on Tuesday.

The fighter suffered broke his hand in the second-round submission loss on the May 8 pay-per-view opener.

As a Cote fan I know when something is "off". It all makes sense now. As I watched the fight I didn't know he broke his hand but I could tell something was wrong. I hope it heals fast. The guy has no luck. The half way illegal spike at the end dazed Cote more than he has ever been dazed in a MMA fight. It didn't take much for Belcher to get his back at that point. The MMA gods will give Cote no rest in the UFC. He has some of the worst luck out there.

Bum deal for patrick. i wonder when in the fight it happened? i dont think it would have changed anything though. Belcher was al over him from the word go! i hope it doesn't keep him out for very long. he needs to get back to winning fights.
