Posted 8/9/08 12:37:00AM Despite cashing a $30,000 bonus check in his most recent outing, UFC middleweight contender Tom Lawlor isn't interested in another "Fight of the Night" award when he meets Joe Doerksen on the preliminary card of Saturday's UFC 113 event in Montreal. "A lot of people said, 'I can't wait to see that fight; that fight's going to be awesome, and I hope it's Fight of the Night,'" Lawlor recently told MMAjunkie.com Radio. "That is the biggest insult and the worst thing you could tell somebody – that I hope they fight for 15 minutes, and I hope they take damage. "I'd rather fight guys that really aren't that good." Posted 1/16/09 11:38:00PM Funny, but that attitude won't get him to the top of UFC imo. he should have said he wanted sub or ko of the night. hes capable of both. |

Posted 6/1/08 3:18:00PM Lawlor cracks me up. I don't think he should have straight up disrespected Doerksen like that but Doerksen does only have 1 win in the UFC. I expect Lawlor to win this fairly efficiently but I will laugh if he loses to a guy that he "look[s] at as a situation where if they weren't in Canada, they probably wouldn't have asked him back." |

I know it's hard to tell when just reading text, but I believe it was tongue in cheek. |

Posted 7/3/07 12:31:00AM I thought he was gonna say something about sub or ko of the night as well. I think he will wrap one of those up because this fight isn't going the distance _______________________________________ |

Posted 6/1/08 3:18:00PM I don't think so either. I'm predicting a first round TKO. |
