From the Zuffa boss:

“It sucked just like I thought it would, just like I knew it would. It was a horrendous. It went to a 12-round boring decision.”

Any MMA fans catch the replay — or blow off UFC 103 altogether to watch “Money” cash in on his size advantage? State your case.

Seriously! It's like a small, dark skinned, Tim Sylvia!

Let me begin with I dislike Floyd as a person and as a MMA hater. Just like saying that ground fighting is boring or gay or whatever the haters say, saying Floyd Mayweather is anything but a great fighter is just wrong. The man is 40 - 0 with 25 KOs its not like he never finishes a fight. It is Amazing the way he defets people his defense and Counter punching is increidable. Its no differnet the everyone hateing on Machida you may not be overwhelmed with "work" but there is no better way to win a fight then to not get hit. END OF STORY.

I'm not a Mayweather fan as a person, however I completely agree with the poster above me. His handspeed and shoulder rock defense are amazing. What more proof do you need than what he did last night? He was faster than a guy smaller than him, and he barely got hit by him.

It was Marquezes job to force him to engage he is a counter puncher his style is to dictate the pace of the fight and he did.

Will Money Mayweather keep dodging Pacquiao now?

postman » Posted 6/23/07 7:57:00PM

I keep hearing Pacman is not taking Cotto for real he might not make it past him. But if Manny wins I see no way he skips that fight. I think he is now fighting for the money and thats the big pay day he wants.

StriderXero » Posted 9/2/07 3:37:00PM

for me paying for a mayweather PPV would only be worth it if I knew for sure he was going to lose. Like him vs Wladimir or Vitali Klitschko.

I might cough up $$ for him vs Manny. Any fight Manny's in you'll know you'll get a show, even if he loses.

I would pay for Manny vs Marquez 3. Manny vs Cotto, i'm definately paying for.

Other than that, every single UFC event, Dream, or Strikeforce have more exciting fights than anything Floyd can produce.

If it was GSP, Randy, or Brock headlining UFC 103 Floyd would be knee deep in tears.

i agree with this, due to the fact the whole event had no title fights, floyd dragged in the boxing and mma fans, because they would rather see mayweather than rich franklin.

The mayweather match was slow dull, could of been ended and has put boxing fans into a postition whereby would they rather watch an hour for 1 fight of boxing or 15 minutes for mma. Overall i think the ufc could capatilise and grab some boxing fans as they will realise boxing can be dull.

Well I agree Floyd is a great boxer but this fight was a joke. Floyd didn't even bother to make weight. To top that off Marquez was fighting two weight class above him. The size difference in this fight was easy to see. If you consider yourself the greatest than you don't hand pick your fights against smaller fighters. Dana was right it was a boring fight that everyone knew the outcome and Floyd is just trying to make money without any true risk. I'm sorry I love boxing but Floyd is one of the things that is wrong with boxing today. Its guys like him and his old promoter Bob Arum that have turned boxing in to the joke it is today. Boxing isn't about the best fighting the best anymore and hasn't been for years. The ranking system is so easily manipulated it isn't even funny.
