Josh Neer official for UFC 104, bout with Gleison Tibau remains on main card   [View Full Version]

The fight card for "UFC 104: Machida vs. Shogun" is again complete, as Josh Neer (25-8-1 MMA, 4-5 UFC) has officially been named as a replacement for an injured Sean Sherk (33-4-1 MMA, 7-4 UFC).

The UFC wasted little time in announcing the previously reported switch, and Neer now faces Gleison Tibau (19-6 MMA, 5-4 UFC).

And while there was some question as to where the new matchup would fall on the Oct. 24 card at Staples Center in Los Angeles, the UFC has elected to leave the bout on the main card, which will be broadcast live on pay per view.

I'd rather see Ryan Bader vs. Eric Schafer on the main.

I agree, without Sherk, this fight becomes just two guys who are coming off losses.

Sherk was at least a former champion.
