Hum this sounds really shady on Diaz's part. He was supposed to take a drug test and just didn't show up. I'm sorry I was training is no excuse. I'm shocked CSAC is ok for letting him go test on Monday because if I was running it if you miss a test and don't have a very very good reason for doing so (which training isn't a good reason) then you cant fight its that simple. I'm not giving a known offender time to clear out his system. Now I'm not saying that is what Diaz's is doing but it comes off as very shady.

Yeah with Diaz's past history it comes off as if he needs more time to get THC out of his system before he takes the test. I don't personally care if the dude smokes pot or not, but it's illegal, they test for it before every fight and Diaz definately knows it.

it definitely creates a presumption in the minds of all of us and presumably NSAC and CSAC personnel if you just don't show up. i mean come on Nick this is your career, and you've got the deck stacked against you because of your past

I think it's wierd that THC is a banned substance by the California Athletic Commission but a medically legal substance in the State of California. They should work that out.

Ritalin, for example, is medically legal in all 50 states with a prescription, but as a fighter you can't test positive for it even if you legally take and have been taking it for years. Same with hundreds of other prescriptions.

This is dumb and the show is going to suck if Diaz can't fight.

Nick obtained a prescription for medical marijuana quite some time ago and from what I gather they decided to let him fight wile he has it so I dont think thats the issue but IDK.

I'm not to sure about right before a fight but after a injury with a prescription from a doctor I know several fighters have been able to take banned substances.
