Posted 11/18/07 4:54:00PM Leave it to Don Frye to make sense of this whole Josh Barnett/Affliction situation. Or not. The MMA veteran spoke to Fight Network Radio Thursday about Barnett's positive steroid test, but chose to lay the blame on the California State Athletic Commission instead: "Look at what the hell is going on in California with their athletic commission. What a bunch of amateurs. You know, I mean, they're suspending Josh Barnett for taking a drug, you know, and he can be making the state a million dollars by fighting. But they're going to suspend his ass when they're five billion dollars in debt. Where's the sense in that? You know, that's insane. That's how goofy we've gotten. Posted 1/22/08 12:25:00PM Nice Done, real nice. Assume for a second he really did use this drug, who cares if it gives him an unfair advantage over Fedor right? The reason they ban these things is so people don't have an unfair advantage but in the interest of money, and not caring about safety, you would have them fight? You are just as clueless as California. |

I don't know about everyone else, but I care. I want the sport to be legitimate in the eyes of the general public. _______________________________________ |

Posted 1/27/07 9:19:00PM Don Frye talking about Roids. LOL I like to refer back to an interview he did back in the 90's. He was asked if he ever used them and he said "Yeah, no point in lying. I used them in the past but not anymore." Then he goes into Pro Wrestling and comes back to MMA 30 lbs larger of pure muscle. Now, why in the world would Frye ever take Barnett's side.

Yeah now in general I have no problem with it but it is a huge black eye for the sport. |
