Javier Vazquez imo is the best 145 out there right now, his BJJ is imo is the best at that class. after his fight do you think WEC is going to want him there?

I think Wagney Fabianos jits is better...

I thin Javier is a tough prospect, and definately deserves a shot in the WEC, and should do well when he's there...but I think he would lose to Garcia, Faber, Brown, Fabiano and Aldo all still.

i think Javier Vazquez is one of the most under rated fighter out there, i think he can hold the 145 belt in wec

I defiantly agree. Saying he SHOULD be in the WEC is like saying water is KINDA wet.

I definatly agree that Showtime has some of the top p4p bjj

I love his curveball, but the freaking Braves can't hit the ball when he pitches. 8+ K with about 4 hits and 1 ER and still lose or no decision?!?! ERA is about 1.90 in his last 5 games and still he's 1-3 over that spam

wait... who?

Let's not go overboard guys. Javier Vazquez is a pretty solid fighter, but he would struggle against the top guys in the WEC, and I don't think he would have been able to beat Din Thomas.

He struggled against Robert Emerson and Alberto Crane before he went on a hiatus because he just wasn't enjoying MMA. Now that he's back he's beaten a few mid level guys, but even those--particularly the bout with Pereira of BTT, haven't exactly been dominating performances.

His BJJ isn't top of the food chain at 145. He is a solid BB, don't get me wrong--he earned it from Carlson Gracie, and Carlson doesn't hand out BB's easily. But there are guys like Wagnney Fabiano and Marlon Sandro who are at least a couple notches above him. I would even argue that Hioki and Rafael Assuncao are a couple notches above him as well in terms of grappling.
