Posted 6/27/07 12:18:00AM Hell yea! I grew up a fan of boxing and I'm hoping that a great MMA fighter like arlovski can do well and bring a little bit of glory back to boxing. Lets face it, I dont see him beating a Klitchko anytime soon but it well still bring a little relevance back to the sport for me. |

Posted 6/4/07 9:53:00PM Andrei has always had a suspect chin. If he thinks that the pickings will be any easier going 12 or 14 rounds with a pro-boxer he's going to be in for a rude and painful awakening. I don't foresee this venture into boxing being such a good idea for him. Probably lots of people talking in his ear, like Freddie Roach, telling him that he's the man. Maybe they will feed him some cans to build his ego up but if he wants to challenge someone for a belt he's going to get rocked. Anyway, I like Andrei has an MMA fighter, the sport is going to miss him as a heavyweight and as a character in the fight scene. |

Why would Roach waste his own time? He can train most of the best in the world. Andre has been droped by huge guys with 5 oz gloves on not 10 oz. He will only have to defend punches instead of worrying about takedowns and kicks. I can't wait to see how he dose. |

Posted 2/6/09 3:35:00PM Nice I love Watching Boxing and MMA But Arlovskis chin wont hold trust me those guys spend their whole life conditioned to taking heavy hard shots to the jaw and head. Thats why they wind up punch drunk when they are 40. |

Posted 5/27/07 4:09:00PM Lol who's going to drop him in the HW div? Other then Wlad and Vitali there isn't much out there right now. Valuev is a champ, he's a terrible boxer, he's a big guy, thats it, he has poor technique and for a guy his size, little to no power. AA could take Valuev's belt as soon as he wants IMO. |

Posted 1/7/09 2:09:00PM What else is left for him? When Semmy Schilt lost to Fedor at Pride he left and joined K-1 and became 3 time champion. Not to mention hell do a lot more money. |

semmy was a kickboxer turned MMA'er, not the other way around. as for arlovski this will be good for him. it's going to be 4 three (3) minute rounds, with a 1 minute resting period in between each round... that's a lot more time to replenish his gas tank than MMA. hopefully he'll become successful and bring some mma fans to boxing, and boxing to mma. |
