Wow! I think this is a tough fight for Bader. I'm not saying I'm impressed with Marrero stuff, but I do think his BJJ is a tough task for Bader. Marrero has got good BJJ and Bader likes to take people down to the ground. That might be was Marrero exactally wants.

ya marrero has good jiu jitsu but it's not as good as eliot saunders' who bader held down for three rounds, this is a tough first fight but not as tough as efrain's, bader wins.

What it's going to come down to is striking. These two are damn close in wrestling ability, so I don't see one taking the other down.

Vinny has top-notch BJJ and look what Bader did to him! And don't forget that Bader beat Marshall on the show, too.

Good tough opponent for Bader's first fight. I completely expect him to win though. R1 GnP.

boy, they are not taking it light on the tuf'rs for theyre first fights this year!....bader, junie, and efrian all have tough tasks...and if the rumor mill is true, so will nover!.....i like that tho, lets see competitive fights instead of worrying about building up a fighter (*cough* forrest vs bill mahood *cough*)...really let them prove that they belong in the ufc instead of tv telling us they do

this fight will come down to who comes in with the alternative edge..bader is the more accomplished wrestler, but marrero is very good as well...i dont think this fight will come down to wrestling....i think in the jj department they are even too...ive personally never been impressed by marreros jj, so i dont know were the love for that is coming from, but i could be missing somethin there......bader had a tough time with eliot in the jj department but bader also trains at a top notch academy so im sure he's learning at a rapid pace.....striking i think is even too, both utilize boxing as opposed to kickboxing, and with the fear of a takedown, i dont see that changing......i see alot of similarities in this fight and the edgar/maynard fight a few months back.....both equal each other out in most areas, so who ever sets the pace and asserts theyre will more, will come out the victor....i see either a decision win for bader, or a rear naked choke late in the fight by bader, after he wobbles marrero on the feet enough to take him down

I dont think this should be a tough fight for Bader if he lives up to his potential. I doubt Marrero is going to sub Bader from the bottom.

Bader wins this fight like he did against Vinny a tko only this time the fight will last alittle bit longer.

Who's Eliot Saunders? Eliot Marshall is the guy Bader fought on TUF.

Steve Steinbeiss is the key to this might imo. Steve just fought Carmelo and imo beat him but lost the split decision. But the real point im trying to make is that Bader trains with Steve so that should Help bader alot because Steve pretty much took Carmelo to the limit.

ya i don't know where the hell i came up with eliot saunders, i meant marshall.

I think this fight definetely speaks about just where the UFC sees Bader , so they're wasting no time throwing him in the mix as opposed to Amir who will probably be fighting newcomers like Nick Catone for some time.

It is interesting that Carmello recently defeated AZCS teammate Steve Steinbeiss, and will now be fighting another AZCS fighter. Maybe the beginnings of an ATT vs AZCS rivalry? It was a really close bout that ended it split decision, and I think Steve was actually turning the tide at the end.

This is a really tough fight for Bader. Carmello has been in there with top competition like Gabriell Gonzaga, Cheick Kongo, Wilson Gouveia, I wouldn't be too worried about Carmello's BJJ since the combined records of opponents he has submitted are 5-14. Although he defeated Cheick Kongo he wasn't able to submit him, and we've all seen how green Cheick's ground game is.

Marrero's game is actually pretty much the same as Bader's, but Bader is the more accomplished wrestler and I think the stronger of the two. As long as Bader can keep Marrero from taking over this fight on the feet and avoid the big body kicks of Marrero I think he should be able to outlast him by pressure and switching levels.

this fight is a lot closer than a lot of you may think. Carmelo is seriously talented and should not be overlooked. i might lose some hair over this fight tbh.
